Nuke Proof rider Lukas Mechura continues his success in the European 4X series after he took part in the fourth round in Harthill, Great Britian at the weekend.

Following some training with the Atherton's during the week, Lukas headed for Harthill where the UK National 4X event took place on Saturday before the European 4X series which place on Sunday.

With all the top riders showing up for the event, Lukas finished in 6th place in the UK National on the Saturday but went on to finish 3rd in the European 4X series on Sunday.

Speaking about the event Lukas said "It was a great race.  All the top riders were on the field again and I took 6th place in qualification, however I was delighted to get into the main final and take third place"

Lukas remains the leader of the series, just a few points ahead of Johannes Fishbach.

Lukas now makes his way to Fort William to compete in the third round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup next weekend.

In Winterberg Germany was next round of EFS - round #3. Race was full of the Top riders all over the World include Jared Graves from Australia. Is great to have on EFS World Champion and World Cup leader and make a chance to compete with him.

I was 5th in my qualification run which is not that bad for me because I got usually very slow qualifications. I won all my heats into the semifinal where I met Jared and Finished 2nd. In my Main Final I had line 4 on the gate which is not good and I had to do very fast gate to close rest of the riders. My gate was great and I get to the first corner on 2nd place behind Jared and we came thru the finish line like that also.

So for me is the 2nd place in this race !!

Saturday was a big day for Czech BMX people. First race of the Season (called Control race of The Czech National Team) is behind us. All day was cloudy and all the people just waiting when the rain begin. The organizators of the race had little troubles with the gate system and it took about half an hour. Of course - rain started but just before the mains:(  I have to say the track was perfect in this weather so it wasnt that bad for race.

I won my qualification motos, I won my semifinal heat and then I won my final!! I had to go on gate nr.2 cuz I was in second Semifinal run. The fastest BMXer Stepan Tumpach from Czech republic was on line 1- I had very good gate, we took the hole shot on the first straight and straight before the first corner I was a bit faster then Stepan but he had inside line ,who know what would happen in the corner... Stepan made a mistake on the landing before the corner and crashed. He took down about 3 or 4 more riders with him and I won the rest of the track with no more troubles.

Finally its my winning in BMX after long time and Im happy for that. I getted some good offer for me from Czech National and I will go to the next BMX World Cup in Denmark - Copenhagen.

Next day in Besancon.. All night was rainy, morning was rainy, everything looks sucks with the weather what should be on Sunday. But after lunch everything changed and Sun goes up on the sky:) The afternoon was almost all the time sunshine, windy too much but into your backs for pro-section, so wasnt that bad!

My race quit in 1/8 final again. All day I felt good, I had good gates and first 2 mottos I did 2nd and 1st, in third motto I had crash and toke 5th place. I had line 5 for 1/8 final and wasnt pretty easy run for me. 6 more riders and all of them pretty fast! I had good gate but from outside it must be super gate to make something in first corner, I was fifth and before pro-section had a crash with Pascal Seydoux who crashed straight before me! My knee hurts and Im trying to get some ice on it and be ready for next race this weekend in Czech republic. Its control race of Czech National team in BMX!

I had so bad lucky today. All day was rainy and the track here is really difficult, the pro-section is on 3rd straight and it aint easy to jump it with whole track. But when comes race the pressure is ON !! So I had to jump in my mottos.  I didnt have a pretty fast gates in the race but the final results in mottos for me were 2,4,5. And Im qualified to the 1/8 final. Bad lucky was that Team manager sent me to the wrong 1/8 final, I didnt go to check the start lists by myself(big mistake!!!) and I had to be on the gate earliest. So I missed my 1/8 final and could do nothin to get closer our main! Finally I was listening its only my fault, I heard it wrong and I could check it out by myself. Right, new hindsight for me - rely on myself only!

Anyway I felt good in this race, Im sure get better my first straight since last year and hope tomorrow will better day for me!

Its 3rd week in Sainte Maxime with my brotha. We re still training and riding as much as is possible. The weather is beautiful almost every single day. Thats the best think on this place! The BMX track here is great for training, we re riding in Frejus on World Cup SUPERCROSS track as well.  So great experiences for my Brotha! During these 3 weeks joined us a many of Czech groups here like Lukas Tamme, Jana Horakova, Michal Prokop or Viktor Karlik. Also Teams like Olympus or OK Team. We have visited the Velodrom stadion in Hyeres, which was a great practice for our legs, we shared the track with French road bike and track superstar Mickaël Bourgain and of course toke the picture with him, cuz he is cool guy!

Last weekend we competed the Local race here in Sainte Maxime, in the race were the National Team of Germany as well so it was a good practice. I had weird crash in my 3rd moto, and then clipsed off after gate in semifinal. So it was outside line for me into the final. In semifinal was also my Brother and he crashed in first corner, he broked his hand and had to go to hospital with ambulance. Which that aint a good feeling for my final. I had a good gate then wasnt fast enought to close the first corner on the first place and after outside lines in first and second corner was it 4th place for me. 

Anyway it was a really good practice with German Team and some fast Frenchs.

Last week before we left Sainte Maxime, then go home get ready for the first European Champ, which is 3rd and 4th of the April in Besancon France.

Už za jeden týden se s bráchou chystáme na 5ti týdenní trip do Jižní Francie. Zdržovat se budeme na bikrosce v St. Maxime, v plánu máme lokální závody 14. Března a završení tripu plánujeme 1. a 2. závodem Mistrovství Evropy v Besanconu. Dnes se mi povedlo finálně doladit můj nový BMX stroj zn. Formula, oházený komponenty TIOGA od firmy Katmar. Rád bych poděkoval sponzorům firmě Katmar, Chain reaction cycles a Jirkovi Holubovi jakožto distributorovi zn. FORMULA do ČR.

30. Ledna se v Liberci konal další ročník hustejch závodů "Downmall". Nějak se mě nedařilo a skončilo jsem až na 13.místě,  o pár setinek mi naložil i mladší brácha Michal:) -(12.místo). 

Video z toho závodů, které pro nás vytvořilo MIHAI se myslím povedlo na výbornou, takže checkujte ve "VideoS" .

O víkendu se odjely dva České závody na Moravě v Tošovicích. Musím uznat, že se jedná asi o nejlepší areál s Fourcrosskou u nás v ČR. Vlek s dvoukotvou vede od cíle přímo ke startu, skvělé zázemí s restaurací, koupalištěm a bobovou dráhou na jednom místě !

V Sobotu při závodu Českého Poháru jsem měl problémy na prvním skoku ve finále a propadl se z prvního místa až na poslední, takže celkové 4. místo !

V Neděli se konalo jednorázové Mistrovstvé České republiky, kde se naše semifinálová jízda ve složení Prokop, Slavík, Já a Svoboda dala rovnat jízdě finálové, nebo-li nejobtížnější jízdě dne. Po nejlepším startu jsem se dostal na první místo a opět silně pokazil poslední skok před první zatáčkou, minul branku na výjezdu a dojel poslední. V málém finále jsem zvítězil a celkově tedy 5. místo !

Uplynulý 2 týdny jdem stravil v Kanadské provincii Québec pro účast ve dvou závodech Světového Poháru ve Fourcrossu. První závod se uskutečnil v Mont Sainte Anne, kde jsem se umístil na 14. místě po pádu ve čtvrtfinále. Další víkend jsme se přesunuli z Teamem do města Bromont kde se konal 7. závod seriálu. Bohužel jsem upadl už v Páteční kvalifikaci, takže jsem se do závodu nedostal.

Jeden Světový Pohár do konce jsem průběžně na 11.místě se stejným počtem bodů jako 9. Mitch Ropelato(USA) a 10. Luke Madill(AUS).
